On YouTube, the girls shared that this performance was dedicated to their nana who “needs extra love & prayers right now. Today, sisters Cassandra Star and Callahan are performing this Easter hymn and it’s absolutely stunning. He said did you forget me Father did you?” Now, this amazing song tells of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior. She thought that it would not be a good idea to sing those lyrics, so she came up with a great idea to re-write the song to tell the real story of Easter. This powerful song was originally written by Kelley Mooney when she was asked to sing Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' at church one Sunday.Īfter looking closely at the song, Kelley realized that the original lyrics did not line up with the story of Easter at all.
